The K-3 Visa is a temporary nonimmigrant visa for spouses of US citizens while their immigrant spouse petition is still pending with USCIS. It allows the foreign spouse to enter and stay in the United States while waiting for Green Card processing. After arriving in the US, the spouse can apply for Adjustment of Status to become a permanent resident.
